In plain words
Where is hell, once one wave of yours has crossed into sight? Drink you, and you hand over a home in the city of the yellow-robed Viṣṇu. And if the body of anyone who carries a body falls into your lap, Gaṅgā — then, Mother, even winning Indra's throne weighs almost nothing.
Close to the Sanskrit
Whence Avīci, if a wave of yours has gone into the path of the eyes? You, once drunk, bestow residence in the city of the Yellow-Robed One. If the body of body-bearers falls into your lap, O Gaṅgā, then, O Mother, even the gaining of Śatakratu's station is exceedingly slight.
