In plain words
I am not the breath. Not the body. Not the mind. Not the intellect, and not the ego or the thoughts it spins. What is left here is awareness itself — and that is what I am. This is how the knowers know him. Hari, who destroys the darkness of saṃsāra: him I praise.
Close to the Sanskrit
I am not the vital breath, nor indeed the body, nor am I the mind; I am not the intellect, nor am I the ego and the thinking faculty. That portion of consciousness which is here — that alone am I: thus do they know Him. That Hari, the destroyer of the darkness of saṃsāra, I praise.
