। ॥ २ ॥

In plain words

In the forest he watches the trees: branches heavy with leaves and fruit, fine crowns bowed low, dense shade closed over them, flocks of birds calling their many soft notes. Their company fills his day; at night the bare ground is his only bed. The sage, his darkness cut away by the Guru's dīkṣā, does not fall into vyāmoha.

In the forest, seeing the trees — laden with leaves and fruit, their fine crests bowed low, covered over with dense shade, holding flocks of birds cooing many soft notes — keeping company with them by day, at night having the bare surface of the earth as his one bed, the sage, his darkness cut away by the Guru's dīkṣā, does not fall into vyāmoha.
