Verse 9

In plain words

The ocean of saṃsāra is vast, and in it Time waits with a crocodile's gaping jaws — it has taken hold of this body already and I cannot pull free. Wave after wave, the whole heaped-up mass of my cravings breaks over me and I am frantic. O Lakṣmī-Nṛsiṃha, give me your hand to hold.

Close to the Sanskrit

Of one whose body is held down, swallowed by the crocodile-seizer that is terrible Time in the vast ocean of saṃsāra; of one agitated, crushed by the waves of the heaped-up mass of attachments — O Lakṣmī-Nṛsiṃha, give me the support of your hand.
