In plain words
The second kind of devotion is effortlessly realized by the sage who has awakened to Brahman, having attained it through single-minded dedication; as scripture declares, 'Single-minded devotion is supreme.' For such a realized soul, the Divine Mother is easily accessible, for She is ever recognized as his very own Self. As the Bhagavad Gita says, 'The wise one is My very Self; this is My firm resolve.' Alternatively, though She is already attained—like a gold necklace that is already around one's neck but forgotten—She is easily realized by those who possess devotion, meaning Her presence is felt without any painful struggle or effort; as the Smriti says, 'Through devotion he knows Me.' Om, salutations to Her who is easily attained by those who possess devotion. She is Lāgalāyudhā, wielding the plow as Her weapon, manifesting as Balarāma in the form of the cosmic serpent Śeṣa, in accordance with the Lord's words, 'Among serpents, I am Ananta.' Om, salutations to Her who wields the plow. She is fanned by Lakṣmī and Sarasvatī, who hold royal chowries in their hands; She is adored in the silent state of modesty; She is the playful cosmic power; She is the sovereign Goddess of the Lakula lineage. 'Fanned by Lakṣmī and Sarasvatī holding chowries' means that the fly-whisks are firmly clasped in the hands of Mahālakṣmī and Sarasvatī, who fan Her from all sides. This signifies that She is eternally served and adored by them since beginningless time. Om, salutations to Her who is fanned by Lakṣmī and Sarasvatī holding chowries in their hands.

From the Self. The second devotion, however, is obtained by that person who possesses direct realization of Brahman, by whom it is obtained through single-minded devotion; as the Smriti says: 'Single-minded devotion is distinguished.' For him, She is easily attainable, because She is always known as his very Self. 'The wise one is indeed my own Self, such is my view'—thus in the Gita. Or, although already obtained, like a gold ornament around one's neck, She is easily attainable for those who have attained devotion, meaning Her attainment is accomplished easily, without strain or difficulty; as the Smriti says: 'Through devotion he knows Me.' Om, salutations to Her who is easily attainable through attained devotion. Lāgalāyudhā: meaning Halāyudha (Balarāma) in the form of Śeṣa, because of the Lord's saying: 'And among serpents I am Ananta.' Om, salutations to Her who holds the plow as Her weapon. She who is fanned by Lakṣmī and Sarasvatī holding chowries in their hands, She who is worshipped in the state of modesty, She who is playful, She who is the Goddess of Lakula. She who is fanned by Lakṣmī and Sarasvatī holding chowries in their hands: 'lagnau' means held in the hands; those hands in which chowries are held, such are the hands of Śrī (Mahālakṣmī) and Śāradā (Sarasvatī); by them She is fanned from all sides. The meaning is that She is being fanned in service from beginningless time. Om, salutations to Her who is fanned by Lakṣmī and Śāradā holding chowries in their hands.
