न तत्फलमवाप्नोति ललिताम्बा न तुष्यति ।ये च जानन्ति लोकेऽस्मिन्श्रीविद्याचक्रवेदिनः ॥मामान्यवेदिन सर्वे विशेषज्ञोऽतिदुर्लभः ।स्वयंविद्याविशेषज्ञो विशेषज्ञ समर्चयेत् ॥ १९ ॥तस्मै देय ततो ग्राह्यमशक्तस्तस्य दापयेत् ।अन्धं तमः प्रविशन्ति येऽविद्यां समुपासते । ।इति श्रुतिरपाहैतानविद्योपासकान्पुनः ।विद्यान्योपासकानेव निन्दत्यारणिकी श्रुतिः ॥अश्रुता सश्रुतासश्च यज्वानो येऽप्ययज्वनः ।स्वर्यन्तो नापेक्षन्ते इन्द्रमग्निं च ये विदुः । ।सिकता इव मयन्ति रश्मिभिः समुदीरिताः ।अस्माल्लोकादमुष्माच्चेत्याह चारण्यकश्रुतिः ॥यस्य नो पश्चिम जन्म यदि वा शंकर स्वयम् ।तेनैव लभ्यते विद्या श्रीमत्पञ्चदशाक्षरी ॥

Without this, one fails to gain the fruit, and Mother Lalitā remains unpleased. Among those in this world who know the Śrīvidyā circle, a true expert is exceedingly rare. An expert should be worshiped by one who knows this science. Knowledge must be given to him and received from him; if unable, one should have it given through another. Those who worship ignorance enter blind darkness—thus the Vedic scripture condemns false worshippers once again. The Āraṇyaka texts censure those who follow paths other than true knowledge. Whether unlearned or learned, ritualists or non-ritualists, those bound for heaven who ignore Indra and Agni... like sand scattered by the sun's rays across this world and the next, says the Āraṇyaka text. Only he whose births have reached their end—or Śaṅkara himself—attains the blessed fifteen-syllabled vidyā.

One does not attain that fruit, Mother Lalitā is not pleased, those who know in this world the Śrīvidyā circle... An expert is exceedingly rare. An expert in his own science should thoroughly worship. To him it should be given, from him it should be accepted, one incapable should cause it to be given. They enter blind darkness who worship ignorance, thus the scripture deprecates these ignorance-worshippers again. The Āranyaka scripture censures those who worship other than knowledge. Unheard, having heard, sacrificers, and non-sacrificers, going to heaven, do not regard Indra and Agni, and those who know... Like sands scattered by rays from this world and that, thus says the Āranyaka scripture. Whose is not the last birth, or if Śaṅkara himself, by him indeed is attained the knowledge, the blessed fifteen-syllabled one.
