Kinnaras, gods, asuras — hosts past counting, and mostly past seeing — come to worship at your feet. On the banks of your bright water a hundred thousand birds call without fear, and their calling never stops. You gave Vasiṣṭha shelter, and Śiṣṭa, and Pippalāda, and Kardama, and all the others who came after. To your lotus feet I bow, Devi Narmadā.
