In plain words
Necklace, anklets, crown, ear-rings — every limb of hers shining under them. Crores of crowned heads of the Lords who make the worlds, pressed together into a footstool for her feet. In her hands the serpent of Death's own Slayer, the noose, the arrow, the bow, the goad; at her waist a girdle the colour of dawn. Across her brow, sacred ash — and the eye. Her I call up in my mind: the Supreme Deity.
Close to the Sanskrit
Her who shines with limbs adorned by necklace, anklets, crown and ear-rings; whose footstool is being fashioned out of the crores of crowned heads of the Causal Lords; who holds the serpent of the Slayer of Death, the noose, the arrow, the bow and the goad, and who wears a crimson girdle; whose brow bears the ash-mark and the eye — her, the Supreme Deity, I contemplate in my mind.
