The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Nirguṇamānasapūjā

Verse 2

पूर्णस्यावाहनं कुत्र सर्वाधारस्य चासनम् ।स्वच्छस्य पाद्यमर्घ्यं च शुद्धस्याचमनं कुतः ॥ २ ॥

In plain words

Invoke the one that is already full — call it to come where? Offer a seat to the support of everything — set it down on what? Water for the feet, water poured out in honour, for what is utterly clear; a sip to rinse the mouth of purity itself — from where?

Close to the Sanskrit

Of the Full, where is invocation? And of the Support-of-all, a seat? Of the perfectly clear, foot-water and arghya; and of the Pure, whence rinsing of the mouth?
