In plain words

Māyā is avidyā as it rests in Brahman; avidyā, so it is said, is the same thing resting in the jīva. The mind is the knot that ties awareness to the inert — and that knot, know this, does not wear through until mokṣa.

Close to the Sanskrit

Māyā is ignorance resting in Brahman; ignorance is declared to be that which has the jīva as its support. The mind is the knot of the conscious and the non-conscious; that is to be known as undecaying up until liberation.
