Set out a row of clay bowls filled with water: the one sun shows up in every one of them. Just so, this paramātmā — one, and one only — appears in body after body.
Close to the Sanskrit
Just as the one sun is reflected in the waters of many earthen bowls, so indeed this supreme Self, being one, [is reflected] in many bodies.
