। ॥ २४६ ॥
In plain words
O Lord of the worlds, with you as our protector, how could suffering touch those who have taken refuge in you? Do lotuses close when the brilliant sun has risen in the sky? If the fruit of past actions must indeed be experienced by mortals on earth, then surely those demon kings I have seen, feeding on human beings, must have overcome even your mighty power.
Close to the Sanskrit
O Lord of the worlds, while you are the lord, how is there worldly suffering for those who have taken refuge in you? Is there a closing of lotus flowers here when the orb of the fierce-rayed sun has risen? If the experience of past earned actions inevitably happens to men on earth, then surely your might was conquered by those demon kings I have seen, nourished on human beings.
