। ॥ ६१ ॥
In plain words
When sense meets object, pleasure flickers by in the blink of an eye — and when that object is gone, pain follows it and stays for as long as life lasts. Those are the two sides of the choice before you.
Close to the Sanskrit
At the conjunction of sense-object and sense-organ, pleasure arises for the moment of a blink; when the object is destroyed, the pain lasts as long as life. Those are the two between which one must choose.
