In plain words

Make the effort: this is to be known, this is to be heard, this is to be seen. For the Ātman is one, present everywhere, standing alone, and nothing but consciousness.

Close to the Sanskrit

It is to be known with effort, to be heard, and to be seen indeed; for the Self is one, all-pervading, alone, consisting of nothing but consciousness.
