In plain words
…and they walk into Death's noose, which is spread wide and waiting. But the steady, once they have known their own deathlessness, stop asking impermanent things to stay — they no longer look for the constant among the inconstant.' The steady, by contrast, master the sense-objects through sheer firmness of mind, and knowing the Supreme Self as nothing other than themselves, they cross straight over death. Scripture says it too: 'Having truly seen That, one is set free from the mouth of death.'
Close to the Sanskrit
…they go to the noose of Death, which is spread wide. But the steady, having known immortality, do not here seek the constant among the inconstant' — thus. But the steady, on the other hand, having conquered the sense-objects by steadiness, and having understood the Supreme Self as their own very Self, cross over death. And it is heard in scripture: 'having discerned That, one is released from the mouth of death' — thus.
