एवं क्रोधादिरूपेण जायमानं प्रमादाख्यं मृत्युं जननमरणादिसर्वानर्थबीजं विदित्वा क्रोधादीन् भूतदाहीयान् दोषान् परित्यज्य अक्रोधादीन् सम्पाद्य ज्ञानेन चित्सदानन्दाद्वितीयब्रह्मात्मना तिष्ठन्न बिभेति मृत्योः ।तथा च श्रुतिः—‘आनन्दं ब्रह्मणो विद्वान्, न बिभेति कुतश्चन’ इति ।कस्मात्पुनर्ज्ञानेन तिष्ठन्न बिभेति मृत्योरिति ? तत्राह—विनश्यते तस्य ज्ञानिनो विषये गोचरे परमात्मनि साक्षात्क्रियमाणे प्रमादाख्योऽज्ञानमृत्युः ।यथा मृत्योः विषयं संसारमागतो मृत्युना

Recognizing that inner death born of anger and negligence—the seed of all suffering like birth and death—one abandons such destructive vices and cultivates virtues like non-anger. Abiding firmly through knowledge in the non-dual Brahman-Self of pure consciousness, existence, and bliss, one ceases to fear death. As scripture confirms: 'The one who knows the bliss of Brahman fears nothing from any quarter.' Why does the enlightened person lose all fear? The text explains: when the supreme Self is directly realized, that death born of ignorance and negligence is utterly destroyed.

Thus knowing death arising in the form of anger and the like, named negligence, the seed of all evils like birth and death, abandoning faults burning living beings like anger and the like, establishing virtues like non-anger and the like, abiding by knowledge as consciousness-existence-bliss non-dual Brahman-Self, one does not fear death. And thus the shruti: 'The knower of the bliss of Brahman does not fear from anywhere.' Why again does one abiding by knowledge not fear death? In reply he says: That death of ignorance named negligence is destroyed for that wise person when the supreme Self, the domain, is directly realized...
