In plain words
In regard to that, the text declares: the Vedas serve as proof concerning that connection of the Supreme Self with the material cause of the world, which is Maya. The meaning is that the Vedas are authoritative in establishing the actual existence of Maya in Him. Thus the Shruti says: 'Indra appears in manifold forms through illusions; the wielder of Maya projects this universe; know Maya to be the great Lord and His divine power hidden by its own gunas.' And Lord Vasudeva likewise declares: 'This divine Maya of Mine, made of the gunas, is hard to overcome. Though I am unborn, of imperishable nature, and the Lord of all beings, yet presiding over My own nature, I am born through My own Maya. Under My supervision, nature produces the moving and unmoving universe.'
