दोषो विनाशकारणम् ।यस्मादेवं तस्मात्सदा वर्ज्या इत्यर्थः ।उक्तं च हैरण्यगर्भे—‘यथा पान्थस्य कान्तारे सिंहव्याघ्रमृगादयः ।उपद्रवकरास्तद्वत्क्रोधाद्या दुर्गुणा नृणाम्’ इति ॥

Every single flaw is a cause of ruin. Therefore, they must always be shunned. As it is said in the tradition of Hiranyagarbha: 'Just as lions, tigers, and wild beasts torment a traveler in the wilderness, so do these vices like anger torment human beings.'
