In plain words

Pride carries eighteen faults; renunciation comes in six kinds. And these are the reversals as they have been handed down — the whole run from falsehood at one end to violence at the other — the very ones recorded as the faults of self-restraint.

Close to the Sanskrit

Pride would be that which has eighteen faults, and renunciation becomes sixfold. These are recorded as the reversals — beginning with falsehood and ending with injury — which are recorded as constituting the faults of self-restraint.
