छन्दोविदस्तेन च तानधीत्य गता हि वेदस्य न वेद्यमार्याः ॥ ४१ ॥

In plain words

The masters of the metres learn the hymns by heart, and with that they go their way. Even the noble among them never arrive at what the Veda is there to make known.
