यथा सर्वतःसंप्लुतोदके महत्युदपाने कृत्यस्य अर्थो नास्ति, एवं सर्वेषु भूतेषु आत्मानं पश्यतः ब्राह्मणस्य विशेषतः न किंचिदपि प्रयोजनं विद्यत इत्यर्थः ।तथा चाह भगवान् वासुदेवः—‘न चास्य सर्वभूतेषु कश्चिदर्थव्यपाश्रयः’ इति ॥
In plain words
Just as someone standing by a vast, overflowing reservoir has no further use for a small well, for the knower who beholds the Self in every living being, no unfulfilled purpose remains anywhere. As the Lord Vāsudeva declares: 'For him, no sense of dependent obligation remains among all beings.'
Close to the Sanskrit
Just as in a great reservoir of water flooded from all sides, there is no purpose of any action to be done, so for the brāhmaṇa who sees the Self in all beings, there is not any purpose whatsoever, thus is the meaning. And so the Lord Vāsudeva said: 'And there is no dependence on any purpose for him in all beings.'
