। ॥ ४६० ॥
In plain words
Being born, being here, growing, ripening, wasting, ending — those six changes happen to what is seen, and only to what is seen. So do sicknesses, in all their kinds. Bulk and every such dimension, colour and every such shade, measurable size, the whole running reckoning of caste and stage of life — all of it is found in the body when you look. None of it is found in the Self, which watches those changes.
Close to the Sanskrit
Birth, existence, growth, and transformation, decay, destruction — these six modifications come to be of the seen alone, as do diseases of many kinds. Grossness and the rest, and blueness and the rest, measure, the established currency of varṇa and āśrama and so forth — these are seen of the body, and not of the Self, the witness of those changes.
