In plain words
Desire is a darkness, and the man whose sight it has shut down loses himself in the shape of a woman — a shape with nothing real in it. Blind eyes weigh nothing. They never ask whether what stands before them is real or unreal, nor whether it ends in pleasure or in pain.
Close to the Sanskrit
With his sight blocked by the darkness of desire, he is deluded regarding the form of woman, though that form is unreal; for one whose sight is blind there is no examination of the pleasurableness or the painfulness of the unreal or of the real.
