When sattva wanes, rajas and tamas surge into dominance. Within the individual's mental adjunct and in the soul itself, the resulting effects are correspondingly powerful.

Indeed the predominance of rajas and tamas from the loss of sattva. In the adjunct of the soul and thus in the soul, its effect is much stronger.
