In plain words
One moon becomes two only because something has gone wrong with the eye that looks at it. In just that way, there is one Brahman — and a defect in the intellect makes it many. Let the defect go, and the Real shines out: one, and only one.
Close to the Sanskrit
Just as the one moon would come to be accompanied by a second, only from a defect in a person's sight — so this one Brahman is, and by a defect of the intellect it is manifold. When the defect is destroyed, the Reality shines as one alone.
