। ॥ ८२ ॥

In plain words

Deep in the wilds, in an empty forest, in a crowded town, at a road-crossing, in a place where nothing threatens; thrown in with thieves, or with perfectly respectable men, or left completely alone — the man who owns nothing lives at ease, because he is at home in himself, and people treat him with regard. The rich man does nothing but suffer. His mind never settles, and he is afraid even of his own son.

Close to the Sanskrit

In a trackless wilderness, in a deserted forest, in a settled district, on a causeway, or in a place free from calamity; joined with thieves, or even likewise with other, excellent men, or separated from them — the man who owns nothing dwells happily, by standing in himself, and is indeed treated with regard by people. The rich man only suffers, his mind always agitated, and afraid even of his own son.
