In plain words
‘I have spread this whole universe upon Māyā-adhyāsa, the superimposition of appearance; therefore all beings stand in Me, though I do not stand in them. Silver shines on a shell, yet no portion of the shell is held inside that silver. In the same way, beings do not truly dwell in Me.’ Thus speaks the guide of all, declaring the entire field of perception Mithyā, like a conjurer's show.
Close to the Sanskrit
All this has been spread out by Me upon Māyā-adhyāsa—the superimposition born of Māyā—and therefore these beings rest in Me, while I am not in them. Silver appears in a shell, but no part of the shell is contained in the silver. So too beings do not truly dwell in Me, declared the guide of all. Hence the whole field of things seen is Mithyā, comparable to a magic show.
