In plain words
Smṛti sets out the daily, desire-driven and other Karma appointed for each Varṇa and Āśrama, and the Vedic words say that all of it should become Brahmārpaṇa—an offering to Brahman. Nourishing nose, eye, tongue, hands, feet, head and ears satisfies the whole embodied person; watering the root satisfies the entire tree.
Close to the Sanskrit
According to Smṛti, every Nitya, Kāmya and other Karma prescribed by Varṇa and Āśrama is to become Brahmārpaṇa, an offering to Brahman; the words of the Veda proclaim this beautifully. As the embodied whole is directly satisfied by nourishing nose, eye, tongue, hand, foot, head and ear, and an entire tree by nourishing its root, so the whole is satisfied through that offering.
