। ॥ ९५ ॥
In plain words
What is your light? Tell me. ‘By day, the sun; here at night, the moon and lamps.’ Granted. When sun, lamps and the rest are being judged, what is your light? ‘The eye.’ When the eye is closed, what then? ‘Buddhi, the intellect.’ And what illumines Buddhi? ‘There I am.’ Therefore you are That, and I, O Lord, am the supreme light.

What is your light? Tell me. By day the sun, here the moon and lamps at night. Is it so? In the reckoning of sun and lamps etc., what light is yours? The eye, when that is closed what happens? And even more the intellect, what illuminates the intellect? There indeed am I, thence you are that, O Lord, I am the supreme light.
