। ॥ ९७ ॥
In plain words
Vijñāna, direct realization whose essence is light, dawns pure and unequalled in Buddhi, the discerning intellect, and breaks the imagined divide between Jīvātma and Brahman. That knowledge alone exhausts Māyā, the power that causes Saṃsṛti, the round of embodied becoming. The maker of bodies, once gone, cannot rise again; Vijñāna itself is enough.
Close to the Sanskrit
The incomparable, purifying Vijñāna—direct realization—whose nature is pure light arises in a person's Buddhi and at once shatters the difference between Jīvātma and Brahman. By that alone Māyā, the cause of Saṃsṛti, is brought to an end. Once destroyed, that maker of bodies never arises again, through Vijñāna alone.
