। ॥ १३ ॥
In plain words
I cannot bring myself to do even a hair’s worth of harm to anyone — and what pleases you, Girīśa, I still cannot work out. Because there you are, gracious to some man who turned against his wife and his son, or who turned against his own father.
Close to the Sanskrit
I am not able to do even a trace of harm to another; how you are pleased, that I do not know, O Girīśa. For so it is: you are gracious toward someone who harms wife and son, or who harms his father.
