। ॥ २२ ॥
In plain words
May the moon-surpassing knees of Death’s conqueror bring you bliss. As they draw his legs inward in the Tāṇḍava, they seem to set the sages’ Citta, clear as a mirror, within a moonstone casket; with every movement they become, for an instant, cushions for the heads of the serpent-kings at his girdle.
Close to the Sanskrit
May those two lovely knees of Death’s enemy, whose brilliance conquers the nectar-rayed moon, bring you bliss. To place the mirror of the sages’ Citta—their mind—in a casket fashioned of moonstone, they make the feet bend in the Tāṇḍava; moment by moment they briefly become pillows for the heads of the serpent-kings that form his girdle.
