In plain words
When, Giriśa? When do I finally see You — take Your blessed feet in both hands, hold them to my head, to my eyes, to my chest, gather them close and breathe in their fragrance, the scent of lotuses just opened — and feel in my own heart the joy that Brahmā and the great gods never once reached?
Close to the Sanskrit
When indeed, O Giriśa, having seen You, having taken Your auspicious pair of feet with both hands, bearing them on my head, on my eyes, on my chest, having embraced them and inhaled their fragrances — the scents of freshly opened lotuses — shall I experience in my heart that joy which is unattainable by Brahmā and the rest?
