In plain words
You who came first, whose blaze has no measure; you whom the words of the Veda point to, you whom the seeker finally reaches; you whose very self is knowledge and bliss; you who are hard at work keeping the three worlds standing. Every yogi meditates on you. Every host of gods sings you. You hold māyā in your own hand. You whirl in the flawless tāṇḍava, your hair in matted coils — Śambhu, this bow, this one right here, is yours.
Close to the Sanskrit
To the primordial one, to him of immeasurable splendour, to the one to be known through the words of scripture, to the one to be attained — to you, to him whose self is made of knowledge and bliss, to him who is at work protecting the three worlds; to the one to be meditated upon by all yogis, to the one to be sung by the hosts of gods, to the wielder of māyā, to him whose whirling is the perfect tāṇḍava, to the one with matted locks — this, just this, is the bow made to Śambhu.
