In plain words

Twilight is the burning day coming to its end. The drumbeat rising where Hari's hands strike is the thunder in the clouds. The flashing glances of the gods are the restless lightning. The swelling tears of his devotees' joy are the rain, and Śivā is the peahen. In him the blazing tāṇḍava reigns — the Blue-Throated One, and he is the one I worship.

Close to the Sanskrit

Twilight is the passing of the sultry day; the drum-sound produced by the striking of Hari's hands is the thunder of the clouds; the flash of the heaven-dwellers' glances is the darting lightning; the flood of the devotees' tears of joy is the rain; Śivā is the peahen — in whom the blazing tāṇḍava reigns victorious: that Blue-Throated One I worship.
