In plain words
Death himself edges away, half expecting a foot against his chest. The deathless gods bend their crowned heads and wave the bud-flames of their jewels before him in ārati. Liberation looks once, and comes to him as a bride, and holds him and does not let go. O Lord of Bhavānī — when a person's mind is nothing but the worship of your lotus feet, what is left in this world that is hard for him to get?
Close to the Sanskrit
Vaivasvata, shaken by the apprehension of a blow to his chest, has backed away; the ageless ones perform the light-waving with the bud-flames of the blazing jewel-lamps in their crowns; Liberation, seeing him, extends a close embrace. O Lord of Bhavānī, for him whose mind is the worship of your lotus feet, what here is hard to obtain?
