In plain words
Let my mind live at your lotus feet. Let my voice live in the singing of your praise, my two hands in your worship, my ears in the hearing of your stories. Let my intellect live in meditation on you, and my two eyes on the splendour of your form. O Paramaśiva — with what, then, would I ever get around to other people's books?
Close to the Sanskrit
Let my mind dwell in your lotus feet, my speech in the uttering of hymns, my two hands in your worship, my hearing too in the practice of listening to your stories; my intellect in meditation on you, my pair of eyes on the splendour of your form. O Supreme Śiva, with what, then, beyond this, would I know other books?
