। ॥ ८ ॥

In plain words

Though I have meditated on the one called Śiva in my heart, I have not given abundant wealth to Dvijas, the twice-born, or offered you hundreds of thousands of oblations into the fire's mouth with Bīja-mantras, seed mantras. On the bank of the Gaṅgā I have undertaken no Tapas: no austerity through vows, Japa—recitation—and discipline. I have not recited the Rudra chant. Forgive my offense: Śiva, Śiva, Śiva, O Śrī Mahādeva, Śambhu.

Close to the Sanskrit

Having meditated in the mind on the one named Śiva, abundant wealth was not given to Dvijas—the twice-born; oblations numbered in hundreds of thousands were not offered to you into the mouth of the fire with Bīja-mantras—seed mantras; Tapas—austerity—was not practiced on the bank of the Gaṅgā through vows, Japa—recitation—and discipline; the Rudra chant was not recited. My offense is to be forgiven: Śiva, Śiva, Śiva, O Śrī Mahādeva, Śambhu.
