। ॥ ९ ॥
In plain words
I have never become naked, unattached, and pure, free of the three Guṇas—the qualities of nature—with delusion's darkness gone, my gaze fixed at the tip of the nose, and the nature of Bhava, worldly existence, known. Nor do I remember you, Śaṅkara, in Unmanī, the state beyond ordinary mind, with all movement of thought stilled. Forgive my offense: Śiva, Śiva, Śiva, O Śrī Mahādeva, Śambhu.
Close to the Sanskrit
Naked, unattached and pure, free from the three Guṇas—the qualities of nature—with the darkness of delusion destroyed, gaze fixed at the tip of the nose, knowing the nature of Bhava—worldly existence—never at any time have I been seen. Through the state of Unmanī—beyond ordinary mind—with my mind's movement gone, I do not remember you, Śaṅkara. My offense is to be forgiven: Śiva, Śiva, Śiva, O Śrī Mahādeva, Śambhu.
