Verse 18

। ॥ १८ ॥

In plain words

"Come here, little one!" — Śiva holds out his hands and calls him, tenderly. Off his mother's lap the boy leaps, straight to his father, and holds on tight; Hara's arms close around that small body. That child — that is the form I worship.

Close to the Sanskrit

'Come here, child' — when Śaṅkara, stretching out his hands, calls tenderly, I worship Kumāra, who springs up from his mother's lap, seeks his father, and is embraced by Hara: that child-form.
