The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Svātmaprakāśikā

Verse 33

In plain words

Bone and flesh, waste and gut, skin and hair, held together and kept running on food — that is the gross body. Therefore I am pure consciousness, solid all the way through.

Close to the Sanskrit

Endowed with bone, flesh, faeces, intestines, skin, and hair, an eater of food — such would the gross body be; therefore I am a solid mass of pure consciousness.
