यथामृतं विषाद्भिन्नं विषदोषैर्न लिप्यते ।न स्पृशामि जडाद्भिन्नो जडदोषान्प्रकाशयन् ॥ ४९ ॥

Nectar is not poison. Poison's toxicity never seeps into it. And I am not the inert body and mind: I light up every flaw in it and touch none of them.

Just as nectar, being distinct from poison, is not smeared by poison's faults, [so] I, distinct from the inert, illuminating the faults of the inert, do not touch [them].
