In plain words
The snake is not in the rope — not in the past, not now, not ever after. It is the same with me: this whole world, from the first stir of 'I' out to this body, is not in me at all. I am one, without a second.
Close to the Sanskrit
Just as, in the three times, a snake does not exist in the rope, so it is in me: the world, beginning with the ego-sense and ending with the body, does not exist; I am non-dual.
