In plain words
Thirst comes from the body drying out as the breath moves through it — yes, that is how it happens. But I am cit itself, awareness, and nothing about me can dry out. So how could this thirst ever arise in me?
Close to the Sanskrit
From the drying-up caused by the circulation of the vital breath, thirst indeed arises. In me, whose nature is consciousness and who is unfit for any drying-up, how does this arise?
