The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Svātmaprakāśikā

Verse 8

In plain words

Everything from a smell to liberation itself, and all of it fabricated, shines in you — who are real, and without a second. Once that is said, the entire world, whose very nature is Being, turns out to be Brahman.

Close to the Sanskrit

All those beginning with smell and liberation, [being] fabricated, shine in you, the real, the non-dual. When this has been said, the whole world, having Being as its form — that would be Brahman.
