सर्पादौ रज्जुसत्तेव ब्रह्मसत्तैव केवलम् ।प्रपञ्चाधाररूपेण वर्तते तज्जगन्न हि ॥ ६ ॥
In plain words
In the snake, and in everything else seen the same mistaken way, there is only the rope's being — nothing more. So too there is only Brahman's being, alone, with nothing beside it. It stands as the ground that holds up this whole spread-out world; and that world is not there at all.
Close to the Sanskrit
As, in the snake and the rest, the existence of the rope alone [is real], so the existence of Brahman alone [is real]. It abides in the form of the substrate of the spread-out world; that world is not [real] at all.
