In plain words
Some of them press in front of you, a few at your sides, others have taken their places behind. A few hold position in the open sky; the rest stand posted in every direction. And some of the gods, O daughter of the mountain, easing their way through the crush a step at a time to reach the very front, throw themselves down full-length again and again — all they want is for your glance to fall on them.

Some in front, a few at the two sides, others stationed behind; a few positioned in the sky, and others standing in the several directions; gently pushing aside the crush, at the very front, repeatedly making full-length prostrations, some of the gods, O daughter of the mountain, desire the falling of your glance.
