In plain words

The emeralds flashing on her towering palace throw circles of green light into the sky. The sun's horses catch sight of them, joy shoots up in them like new shoots — fresh grass, a whole meadow of it! — and they swing the chariot clean off the road. Alas. And now the driver, hands hauling and shaking at the reins, only just drags it to the sunset peak, and only with a struggle.

Close to the Sanskrit

Having caught sight of the orbs of radiance surging up from the emeralds flashing on the lofty mansion, with joys sprouting up in them, through the supposition of a meadow strewn with fresh grass — alas! — the chariot of the fierce-rayed one was carried off the road by the horses; and by the charioteer, hands jerking at the reins, the sunset peak is from this point reached only with hardships.
