The Self is not time, not place, not direction — so nothing conditions it. And for anyone meditating on it there is no dependence on time or place or direction, ever, at all.

Because of not being time, because of not being place, because of not being direction, [the Self is] without cause; for one meditating on the Self there is indeed never, at any time, any dependence on time and the rest.
