In plain words
Grasping ends through this knowledge; no other way is accepted, for clinging is the root of the deluded mind. Once deprived of its cause, that grasping subsides into supreme peace, just as fire does when it has no fuel.
Close to the Sanskrit
The destruction of grasping is therefore not admitted in any other way, for grasping itself causes the deluded cognition. Grasping, deprived of its cause, would come to supreme peace, just as fire without fuel does.
